Dear friends and loved ones,

As usual it´s been a while since last update. Many of you prob­a­bly don´t know that Sanna and I have moved back to Nor­way. We had thought that we would stay in Mora­vian Falls, NC, till Decem­ber this year. That´s what we believed when we moved to the US, but God wanted it oth­er­wise. In the end of June we were asked to be part of a church plant in Oslo, the cap­i­tal city of Nor­way. The church will be a Catch the Fire church and is under Toronto Air­port Chris­t­ian Fel­low­ship (TACF). It´s start­ing Sep­tem­ber 20th and Sanna and I will be the youth lead­ers there.

It took some time before we reached the deci­sion to go for it. We prayed a lot about it and sought coun­sel from friends. From Proverbs 11:14 we learned that “where there is no guid­ance the peo­ple fall, but in abun­dance of coun­selors there is vic­tory.” This is true and we´ve expe­ri­enced it. All the wis­dom, guid­ance, input and prayers we got from our friends on the moun­tain is price­less! They advised us on how to go forth, how to con­duct our­selves, the right pro­to­col etc. And they all asked the Lord for direc­tion for us. One thing that was very spe­cial for us was when David and Adam (two superb friends) came from High Point and Win­ston Salem to get together with us and pray with us. That was pre­cious. We thank God for such true friends. When we left them and flew home to Nor­way we knew that we were on the right way and that God really had called us home again. But it wasn´t only easy to go home…

Jesus Visits Walmart Supercenter

Praise God! WOW!!! Sanna and I have had a cou­ple of hours at Wal­mart and it was super amaz­ing! Wow, we saw peo­ple healed and touched by the Holy Spirit and Jesus just loved on His chil­dren. God is so good!

We went to Wal­mart with our friend, Erika. The rea­son we went there was that we needed to get some gro­ceries. That´s it. But we went there look­ing for a chance to share about how much Jesus loves us. The first man we talked to was 69 years old and was a bap­tist min­is­ter. We talked together about liv­ing for Jesus and how awe­some He is. We got to pray for him and bless him before we all con­tin­ued shop­ping. Then we saw a cou­ple that we wanted to talk to and see if we could pray for. We just went up and asked them if they had any pain in their bod­ies. “Yes,” they told us that he had a regen­er­ate disk prob­lem in his spine and had pain there. He was on med­ica­tion so he didn´t have any pain right then so he couldn´t tell us if he was healed after we prayed for him. He´ll know tomor­row morn­ing! His wife had pain in her knee. We usu­ally ask them if they can tell us how much pain they´re in on a scale from 1 to 10. This woman, Karen, had a pain that was about an 8! That´s painful. He knee was pop­ping and it hurt badly. After we prayed for her once the pain dropped to a four. Great, but we wanted to go for total heal­ing. That´s what Jesus wants for us. We had her hus­band pray together with us and ALL the pain left her! Thank you JESUS!!

Dog Healed in Statesville

Today´s news is absolutely aston­ish­ing! A mar­ried cou­ple from Nor­way and an Amer­i­can girl who´s intern­ing with Gary Oates Min­istries went to Statesville yes­ter­day. The things they saw down there were beyond their wildest dreams and imag­i­na­tions! It was not pre­med­i­tated. Not planned in any way.

Statesville is a beau­ti­ful place to visit. The sun was shin­ing and the sky was clear. The rea­son why this small group went there yes­ter­day was to go and min­is­ter at a House of Hope and go horse­back rid­ing. When they got down there from Wilkes­boro they got out of the car and saw a dog that was limp­ing badly. His right front leg was obvi­ously hurt and the girls there told them that the dog had been limp­ing for a cou­ple of days already. The young Nor­we­gian man decided that this was the the appointed hour. This was the Lords moment! It was time for that dog to get healed! He got down on one knee beside the dog, laid his right hand on the hurt leg and com­manded pain to leave and heal­ing to flow through that leg, in the name of Jesus. Noth­ing hap­pened! At least noth­ing that could be seen with the nat­ural eye. But what was going on in the spir­i­tual?! The Nor­we­gian had faith, and in per­fect Smith Wig­glesworth style he told the dog to acti­vate it´s faith and walk! The dog obvi­ously had great faith because it started to walk. Still limp­ing though.

After a cou­ple of hours they went horse­back rid­ing. After 5 min­utes they were able to catch up with a dog that was run­ning in front of them. It was the dog that only hours before limped severely! Now it was run­ning in front of them with no sign at all of the limp­ing!! It was healed! Praise you Jesus!! The power of God touched that dog´s leg and took away all the pain. The pain had to bow to the name of Jesus Christ.

Forbønn eller anklage?

I for­rige post skreiv jeg at jeg skulle legge ut en fork­lar­ing på hvor­for kom­mentarene ble slet­tet under inn­legget “Ekte vs falske pro­feter”. Grun­nen til dette er flerdelt og jeg ønsker her å gjøre rede for noen av dem. Det som føl­ger under er særlig ret­tet mot inn­legg som er av kris­ten karak­ter, men gjelder selvsagt for alle innlegg.

1. Direkte per­so­n­an­grep og kri­tikk mot navn­gitte per­soner, menigheter og tjen­ester er ikke noe som vi kan stå inne for å ha på bloggen vår, selv om det ikke er skrevet av oss selv.

Jesus forteller oss at noe av det værste vi kan gjøre er å være en snublesten. Han sier i Mat­teus 18 at det ville være bedre for den per­so­nen å ikke være født enn å bli en snublesten for en av “disse små som tror på Meg”. Han gav oss klare instrukser om hvor­dan vi skulle gå frem med en bror eller søster som er i synd — slik at vi ikke skulle bli snublestener. I Mat­teus 18:15–17 står det at vi først skal gå per­son­lig og ta det opp med han/henne. Der­som det ikke hjelper så skal en ta med seg en eller to andre slik at vit­ners nærvær skal hjelpe til med å holde det ærlig, og prøve igjen. Bare der­som ikke det hjelper skal en ta det med menigheten. Men selv da kan det eneste motivet bak han­dlin­gen være ren kjærlighet for den en mener har trådd feil, for å kor­rigere, ikke for å blot­t­legge og dømme. Gud skal være dom­meren og Han er i stand til å kor­rigere sine barn når de trår feil. Vi har ingen rett til å innta den rollen for Han, da set­ter vi oss selv høyere enn Han. Når vi kri­tis­erer andre så kri­tis­erer vi også Gud og den jobben Han gjør. Kri­tis­erer vi noens led­erevner så er det også Guds led­er­skap vi klager på. Vi sier med andre ord at Han ikke klarer å kor­rigerer sine egne barn.

Man With COPD Healed!

As I wrote yes­ter­day in the note “Jesus to the steets”, me and my hus­band finally decided to go to the streets and share the gospel of Christ and pray for the sick. And so we did…

The first man we talked to was a chris­t­ian man. He had a dis­ease called COPD (KOLS — på norsk), which is a Chronic Obstruc­tive Pul­monary Dis­ease that makes it heavy to breath. We asked if we could pray for him, and he said yes. After pray­ing, we asked if he could feel any dif­fer­ence. And he DID! Since he wasn´t com­pletely healed, we asked him if we could pray for him once more. He said yes, and so we did.

It all ended with Jesus get­ting to touch this man with a com­plete heal­ing from COPD! He is just an AWESOME GOD!!! Thank you Lord!!
